All reflexology is holistic as it treats the body as a
whole. Reflexology is a natural, drug-free approach to relaxing the
body-mind. It balances the circulatory, excretory, digestive, endocrine and
immune systems. Reflexology helps the body to rid itself of toxins and
promote healing, as well as effectively releasing muscular tension.
Reflexology can be useful in the treatment of conditions such as migraine,
eczema, asthma, insomnia, low energy levels and stress, as well as being a
treatment that relaxes and promotes good health and vitality. |

| Reflexology, re·flex·ol·o·gy (rēflĕk-sŏl'ə-jē) source:Answers.com |
| The study of reflex responses, especially as they affect
behaviour. A method of massage that relieves nervous tension through the
application of finger pressure, especially to the feet. |
| Reflexologists apply pressure on "reflex zones" found on
the feet, hands and the ears, which correspond to the different parts
of the body. Application is done through thumb, finger and hand technique.
Reflex areas, like hand and foot, composed of 7200 nerve endings are
stimulated by pressure applied. The body is then believed to pursue a
biologically correct, strengthened and reinforced state. |
